How does HousePal protect my privacy and data?
Images and videos are deleted immediately after processing is complete by our models. Your inventory data is stored securely as text entries. We do not gather or store any information regarding the location of your home. We never share your information with third parties, and you have complete control over what you store and share with HousePal. You can send an email to support@housepal.io to request a copy of the data we hold about you or request to remove it.
What types of files can I upload to HousePal?
HousePal supports images (JPG, PNG), videos (MP4), and documents (PDF, DOC). You can also use voice commands or text to communicate with your HousePal assistant.
How much does it cost?
HousePal is a subscription service which costs $6/month and $60/year with fair use limits regarding how many communications users can have and how many images / videos they can upload. Currently, we have a launch offer for the first 500 users who save their spot with their email which will give them the first 3 months for free. Once we launch, we will offer a 7-day free trial.
Do I need to upload all my manuals, or can HousePal find them?
HousePal has a database of common appliance manuals and whenever a new one is added in a user's account we do our best to fetch it. In case we can't find yours, you will get a notification to upload it in any form available, and we'll convert it into easy-to-understand instructions!

How accurate is HousePal's inventory system?
HousePal uses advanced AI to recognise and catalog items in your photos and videos. Once you upload an image / video and get back what we recognise, you can always edit the information by chat or speech to ensure accuracy.
Can multiple family members use the same HousePal account?
Yes! You can share access with family members, allowing everyone to find items and access information about your home.
What if I move to a new home?
HousePal makes moving easier! Your inventory and information can be easily transferred and reorganised for your new space.
How does the plant care feature work?
Simply take a photo of your plant or tell HousePal what plants you have. You'll receive customised care instructions, watering schedules, and seasonal maintenance tips.
Is there a limit to how much I can store on HousePal?
No! Because we immediately remove "heavy" data such as images and videos you upload, we can store as many things as you want!
